Microplastics Found in Every Marine Mammal Surveyed

A study conducted in the United Kingdom found that stranded porpoises, dolphins, and seals had an average of 5.5 particles of microplastic in their guts. Nylon made up 60% of the plastics, possibly from fishing nets, clothing fibers, and tooth brush bristles.
