OUR MISSION >
MMRT aims to enrich student life through promoting hands-on experience in the field of marine science through rescue, rehabilitation, and/or release of marine mammals, and through educational and outreach experiences to promote awareness of issues affecting both captive and wild marine mammals and to expand the members' knowledge of marine mammals. MMRT is a volunteer organization that is trained to respond to marine mammal strandings, and will provide the opportunity for members to enhance their education in fields involving marine mammals through hands-on experience, trainings, discussions, trips, field experiences, and events.
The club meets biweekly on Mondays. Meetings are open to all UM students, faculty and staff! This includes non-RSMAS students.
